Man charged after Spryfield crash left woman with serious injuries

A 35-year-old man is facing charges after a two-vehicle crash in Spryfield that sent a woman to hospital.

Police say it was Monday at 1 p.m. on the 500 block of Old Sambro Road.

One of the drivers, a 51-year-old woman, had serious injuries.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were seen leaving the scene and running into the woods.

The driver was arrested just over an hour later and was in court Tuesday facing these charges:

  • -operation of a conveyance while prohibited
  • -operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm
  • -failure to comply with probation order
  • -obstruct public-peace officer
  • -failure to stop after an accident resulting in bodily harm

The investigation is ongoing.
