Gas prices starting to come down

By Tim Davidson Apr 1, 2025 | 2:06 PM

Canadians are getting a break at the pumps.

The carbon tax is gone as of today.

Last month Mark Carney said the fuel charge would be removed April 1st.

It added 17 cents to a litre of gasoline and 21 cents to a litre of diesel.

Gas is as low as 1.42.9 cents per litre today at some service stations in Kenora, but even lower in Dryden where some gas stations were selling a litre for 1.29.9.

The last carbon tax rebate will still go out this month.
