On Monday, the hospital’s main entrance (at the revolving doors) and renal entrance were closed.
The entrances will remain closed for the rest of the construction.
The west entrance is being used as the new main entrance.
Dialysis aides will be at the entrance to assist renal patients who are accessing the Renal Department.
Temporary pick-up and drop-off locations have been established in the roundabout in front of the Medical Centre building next to the west entrance.
Meanwhile, the Fish (A3) parking lot and the roadway in front of the Cancer Centre entrance are closed and will remain closed through mid to late June.
The Eagle (A1) parking lot east gate (the gate closest to the medical centre building) has also been closed for the rest of the construction.
The hospital also noted that the electronic bus schedule information sign has been moved, and it is now located adjacent to the west entrance.
“We kindly ask that all patients and families plan ahead and allow extra time for parking,” said the TBRHSC in a release. “For everyone’s safety, please adhere to all construction fencing, barricades, and safety signs. The construction site will be clearly marked, and all unauthorized personnel are restricted from entering construction areas.”
The hospital’s parking lot/site plan can be found here.
