One man dead after car rolls over near Lepreau

By Jacob Moore Mar 29, 2025 | 11:36 AM

The call came at 3:11 a.m., and firefighters found a single vehicle rolled over on Highway 1 in the Lepreau area, according to a social media post from the Musquash Fire Department.

The RCMP says a 27-year-old man died on the scene as a result of his injuries.

Officers believe the man was travelling on the wrong side of the road and hit the guard rail. His vehicle rolled across the highway to the other side and landed in the ditch.

The fire department says several emergency vehicles attended the scenes and crews used power tools to remove a damaged guard rail.

Ambulance NB and RCMP were also on scene.

The New Brunswick Coroner’s Office is assisting with the investigation, and they will schedule an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Correction: A previous version of this story said the call came in at 2:11 a.m. In fact, it came in at 3:11 a.m.
