Three people are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation in the region.
On Tuesday, officers arrested three people at a hotel in Thunder Bay through the ongoing investigation.
So far, the investigation has led to the seizure of the following through two searches:
- 450 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
- 67 grams of suspected cocaine
- 58 grams of suspected fentanyl
- 34 suspected hydromorphone pills
- 95 suspected oxycodone pills
- Handgun with ammunition
- Drug trafficking related paraphernalia
The street value of the drugs seized is roughly $77,000.
As a result, a 45-year-old, 40-year-old, and 38-year-old from Thunder Bay are facing the following charges:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – hydromorphone
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, or prohibited device or ammunition
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm or restricted firearm
- Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm or ammo
The 45-year-old has also been charged with possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
