Police investigation leads to the arrest of two business break-in suspects

Two people are facing charges after an investigation into a break-in at a business.

Officers were sent to a business on Villa Street on February 26 in response to an alarm.

When they arrived, they found that the business had been broken into, was damaged, and merchandise was stolen.

The suspects had left the scene before police arrived.

An investigation into the matter identified two suspects.

A 36-year-old female suspect was arrested on March 12, and a male suspect was arrested on Tuesday.

The woman has been charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence and theft under $5,000.

A 52-year-old man is facing the following charges:

  • Break and enter to commit an indictable offence
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Failure to comply with probation order

Both of the accused remain in custody with a future court date.
