The OPP and the Treaty Three Police Service are investigating a sudden death on the Onigaming First Nation.

Police were called out around 9:00 this past Thursday night to a residence on Onigaming Road.

One person was located and pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators don’t believe there is any threat to public safety, but community members may notice a large police presence in the area.

A post mortem exam is scheduled for today in today to determine the cause of death.

The OPP’s Northwest Crime Unit is conducting the investigation along with the Criminal Investigations Branch.
