Vandalism is on the rise at the Cape Sable Island Causeway.

The Municipality of Barrington says several light poles were smashed with rocks on purpose.

Staff are also collecting bags of litter from the area every day.

They say it’s a popular gathering spot in the evenings, and there are security cameras in place that are reviewed.

The municipality says Barrington is a great place to live, and they want those who see vandalism to report it.
