School bus transportation is cancelled across the Thunder Bay region on Friday due to heavy snow.

That includes all Lakehead Public Schools, as well as the Thunder Bay Catholic, French Catholic and French public school boards.

All schools remain open, although it is a PA day for elementary students.

Environment Canada says a snowfall warning remains in effect for the Thunder Bay area.

Snowfall totals of between 15 and 25 centimetres are possible by the time it ends in the afternoon.
