Halifax police are looking for suspects after a fight broke out on a Halifax Transit bus in Spryfield.

It happened on Saturday around 1:45 p.m., at the intersection of Herring Cove and Dentith Roads between passengers and those riding in two separate vehicles.

It started on the bus with one person using a hammer as a weapon.

The bus then pulled into a stop at Herring Cove and Williams Lake Roads.

That’s when two vehicles also stopped, people got out and sprayed an irritant onto the bus.

The suspects then ran and drove away.

The vehicles are described as a white SUV or Crossover and the other vehicle was silver.

One of the suspects is described as an Indigenous man in his 20s with a heavy-set build and dark hair.

He was wearing a hoodie with a pattern underneath a dark jacket.
