A man died in police custody in Digby.
RCMP say he was arrested outside a business on Warwick Street on Monday afternoon for public intoxication.
He was taken to the Digby RCMP detachment where he spent the night in a holding cell.
This (Tuesday) morning around 7, the man went into medical distress inside the cell, resulting in a serious injury.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Serious Incident Response Team is now investigating.
