Mounties are investigating a break-in and theft at a storage facility in Saint Andrews earlier this week.

The incident happened at the Augustus Street business between 4:15 and 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

“An individual used his vehicle to force open a security fence to gain access to a storage facility,” RCMP said in a Friday news release.

They made off with scrap metal, five 20-pound barbeque propane cylinders, a 100-pound barbeque propane cylinder and several blue C-25 mixed gas cylinders.

Police said they have recovered the truck involved in the theft and some of the items, but the man has not been located.

He was wearing a high-visibility safety jacket, dark-coloured pants and green rubber boots.

RCMP released surveillance video photos on Friday of a person they describe as a “person of interest.”

Anyone who has information is asked to contact Saint Andrews RCMP at 506-755-1130 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
