A Timmins resident had a Friday to remember after winning the first Thunder Bay 50/50 top prize of 2025.

Lucie Clifford is $1,868,455 richer.

“I’ve been buying tickets since the very beginning to help out in any way I can,” said Clifford. “Now, this is really helping me out.”

She retired from teaching eight years ago but has continued supply teaching.

The 50/50 has awarded over $59 million across the province since getting underway.

Tickets for the February draw are now open.
