A 21-year-old woman is dead after being hit by a car on Veterans Memorial Lane in Halifax.

It happened just before 6 p.m., Monday evening and according to police, multiple reports came in that the same vehicle was involved in another collision on Beech Street and Jubilee Road.

Traffic was shut down in the area for a while as officials investigated.

The driver has been arrested and is being charged with dangerous driving.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
