Two men and one firefighter have been sent to hospital after a house fire in Dartmouth.
The home on Thompson Street was fully engulfed when they arrived around 1 p.m., with lots of smoke that caused a local elementary school to evacuate, says Dave Meldrum, deputy chief of the Halifax Fire Department.
The condition of the men is not known, while the firefighter was being treated for burns on his hands and has since been released.

The cause of the fire is unknown, the investigation continues.
