Another increase expected at N.B. fuel pumps

You may want to fuel up your vehicle on Thursday night, according to an industry source.

Gasoline and diesel prices are both expected to rise during the weekly price setting.

The price of regular self-serve will rise by around three cents, according to the source.

Diesel users will see even more pain with prices expected to increase by around five cents.

Currently, New Brunswickers are paying a maximum of $1.60 per litre for regular self-serve, $1.82 per litre for diesel and $1.51 per litre for home heating oil.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.59 to $1.63 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.81 and $1.85 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.64 per litre, diesel costs around $1.89 per litre and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.30 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
