A Dartmouth man is facing drug and firearms charges after an incident in Yarmouth.
RCMP in the town say they got a complaint around 2:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve of a distressed man at a local motel who was believed to be armed.
They asked other guests to shelter in place, and the man was safely arrested.
A loaded pistol, ammunition and cocaine were seized from the man’s room.
The 21-year-old was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear in court today.
