A River John man is facing charges after a gun was shot inside a home during an ugly dispute over the holidays.

Colchester County RCMP say it happened just after 6 p.m. on Christmas Day on Etta Drive in Economy.

A 61-year-old man shot the gun after having a disagreement with a woman he knows.

There were no injuries, however, the suspect tried to hit officers multiple times during the arrest.

The man is now facing a handful of charges including resisting arrest and careless use of a firearm.

He was scheduled to be in court, Friday.
