Halifax: Parking ban extended into Sunday

By News Dec 21, 2024 | 12:09 PM

Make sure to keep your car or truck in the driveway or underground or you could be fined.

The city is keeping its parking ban in place for the second consecutive night.

It’s to help crews clear streets properly.

Buses moving but delays expected

If you need to catch the bus in Halifax, it might be a longer wait with the snow clean up and road conditions.

The transit system is running its normal service but bus numbers 22, 24, 61, 83 and 401 are on a snow plan, which means the routes are modified due to the conditions.

The city also indicated the Alderney Ferry has been cancelled until further notice. It is due to staffing issues and not the weather.

Shuttle rides to Halifax will be provided until further notice.

Rec facilities set to open

Meantime, city owned rec facilities will open at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

They stayed closed to give crews time to clean up the snow.
