Police are searching for a vehicle they say was involved in a hit-and-run with a pedestrian in Quispamsis.

It happened at Hampton Road and Pettingill Road around 6:25 p.m. Thursday, according to the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force.

“A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while in the crosswalk,” police said in a news release posted to social media.

There is no word on the extent of injuries, if any, that the pedestrian suffered during the incident.

Police are looking for a vehicle described as a newer dark blue or black SUV, with head and tail lights spanning from one side to the other.

It left the area immediately after the crash and was last seen heading onto Pettingill Road, said the release.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force at 506-847-6300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
