N.B. gas prices up for Christmas week

There’s a Christmas Grinch at the Energy and Utilities Board.

They increased fuel prices overnight for the festive week.

Diesel is up 4.5 cents a litre to around $1.80.

Furnace oil rose by 4.1 cents to around $1.49.

The maximum cost for regular self-serve fuel jumped 2.1 cents to around $1.59.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.54 to $1.59 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.76 and $1.80 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.63 per litre, diesel costs around $1.85 per litre, and home heating oil sells for a maximum of $1.26 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
