A Halifax man faces at least 25 charges including weapons offences after an incident in Lunenburg County.
According to a release, on December 8th RCMP responded to an unknown emergency involving a man in Chester Grant.
A responding officer noticed he was wearing what looked like body armour and approached him. Police say the man pushed the officer, left the ambulance and entered a nearby home.
When he came back out, police arrested him. Later that evening, Mounties seized numerous unsecured weapons, a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, body armour and a ghillie suit at a Grand Lake Road residence.
The 30-year-old accused was remanded into custody and will appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on January 9th.
RCMP are investigating and expect further charges.
