Tuesday could be the day for lobster fishers to set their traps.
Votes will take place Monday morning on whether or not hundreds of boats will head out to sea.
It will be held in LFA 34, which includes Yarmouth and Digby counties, and LFA 33 from Shelburne County to Halifax.
Weather calls with port reps and DFO have been taking place since Friday.
Winds have to blow less than 26 knots for the season to open.
The Coldwater Lobster Association on Facebook says the weather is looking favourable for a Tuesday opening.
They say a one-hour flexibility is also being considered.
On Dumping Day, fishers in LFA 34 begin at 6 a.m, while LFA 33 boats leave the wharf at 7 a.m.
