The Kenora Catholic District School Board will be searching for a new Director of Education.
Nicole Kurtz has announced her retirement before the next school year.
Chair of the board, Teresa Gallik says she’ll be missed.
“Her legacy at Kenora Catholic is a testament to her faith, dedication and genuine care for students and families,” Gallik told trustees at the KCDSB board meeting Tuesday night.
“Nicole has cultivated a warm, inclusive environment that that prioritizes the well-being of anyone in our schools.”
Kurtz has been the director for just two and a half years and will officially retire August 31, 2025.
The Kenora Catholic District School Board has four elementary schools, and St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Kenora and St. John in Red Lake.
