Some of Canada’s top women’s hockey players are in New Brunswick this week.

Quispamsis is hosting the 2024 National Women’s Under-18 Championship.

This is the first time the championship is being held in Atlantic Canada.

It is also the fifth Hockey Canada event for Quispamsis in eight years.

Eight teams are competing in the week-long tournament, which got underway on Sunday.

The teams are divided into two groups with each playing three games in the round-robin portion of the tournament.

Team Atlantic is competing against Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario Red.

The second group features Ontario Blue, Quebec, Manitoba and British Columbia.

The quarter-finals are on Thursday, followed by the semifinals on Friday and the medal games on Saturday.

All games are taking place at the qplex in Quispamsis.
