A threat at Fundy Middle and High School in St. George has been deemed unfounded, according to the Anglophone South School District.
RCMP were called to the school on Mount Pleasant Road on Wednesday morning after graffiti was found inside indicating a threat.
Students and staff were evacuated to an off-site location nearby as officers investigated the threat.
“The RCMP have established the threat was unfounded and confirmed that the school remains safe. They gave the all clear and students are returning to the school,” said an email sent to families around noon on Wednesday.
“Threats and vandalism are unacceptable, and there will be consequences for those involved.”
RCMP took to social media just before 11 a.m. Wednesday to warn about a police operation on Mount Pleasant Road.
The post asked people to avoid the area so officers could do their work.
An updated post at 12:10 p.m. said the operation had concluded.
