Grand Council Treaty #3 is looking a the feasibility of establishing a museum.
The Indigenous agency, which represents 28 First Nations in northwestern Ontario is looking pre-feasiblity study.
The proposal encourages consultation with communities, elders, and cultural leaders.
Treaty #3 says it would like to bring back some of its sacred items currently housed in museums across the world.
The study would also explore virtual and physical models and a digital library.
It says the idea is the protection, preservation and enhancement of their treaty rights.
November 20 is the deadline for submissions for any request for proposal.
