An area of downtown Halifax has been reopened.
Police say they responded to a report of a suspicious package around 1:20 p.m., Tuesday on the 5600 block of Spring Garden Rd.
Officers then closed the roadway between South Park and Dresden Row to investigate.
In an update a few of hours later, police say forensics determined the package was not a threat to the public.
