Street closures for annual Legs for Literacy event

There will be street closures on Canada Street, Vaughan Harvey Boulevard, and Assomption Boulevard for this weekend’s Legs for Literacy event.

It will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.

From 5 a.m. to 3 p.m:

  • Closure of one north-bound lane on Vaughan Harvey Boulevard from Assomption Boulevard to Canada Street
  • Full closure of Canada Street from Main Street to Vaughan Harvey Boulevard
    • The portion of Canada Street between Vaughan Harvey Boulevard and the back of the Avenir Centre will be accessible to allow access to Canada Steet retailers
    • The Hyatt Hotel and Carrabba’s will be accessible via Main Street

From 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. (re-opening the street following the last runner):

  • Full closure of Assomption Boulevard from Vaughan Harvey Boulevard to Lutz Street
