Ontario’s minimum wage has increased to $17.20.

“Today, the general minimum wage in Ontario increases from $16.55 per hour to $17.20, helping nearly one million workers earn more money for themselves and their families,” said the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, David Piccini.

The wage is increasing by 3.9 per cent up from $16.55 per hour.

Fulltime minimum wage workers will earn an extra $1,355 per year through the increase.

Minimum wage increases are tied to the consumer price index.
