By Tara Clow Sep 16, 2024 | 8:28 PM

Two youths have been arrested following an emergency alert was issued in southeastern New Brunswick.

The alert sounded Monday night, stating police were searching for an armed individual with dangerous intent.

They were also trying to locate a silver F-150 pick-up truck, covered in mud, with possible Nova Scotia licence plate HDC 958.

RCMP were called to Main Street in Salisbury at around 7 p.m. Monday, where they found a 48-year-old man who had been shot. He suffered what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The two youths were arrested on Grub Street in Salisbury and remain in custody.

An increased police presence is expected as RCMP continue to investigate on Tuesday.

RCMP are still searching for the truck. They say it was stolen from Central Blissville.
