Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was able to prevent an apartment fire from spreading.

Fire fighters were called out Tuesday afternoon around 5:30 to a multi-unit apartment in the 900 block of William Street.

Thick black smoke greeted fire fighters when they entered the hallway from the main entrance of the building.

Quick attack brought the fire under control and limited damage to the contents of the unit.

No one suffered any injuries as a result of the fire.
