Man charged under cannabis act in Digby Co. after search of commercial property

By Kelli Rickard Aug 28, 2024 | 8:20 AM

Digby RCMP have charged a man under the Cannabis Act in relation to an unlicensed storefront in Conway.

In July, police investigated after receiving complaints about an illegal cannabis shop on Highway 303.

On August 15th, after the business failed to cease operations, officers executed a search warrant at the property.

Investigators seized drugs, vape products and an ATM. Three people were arrested.

A 31-year-old man faces six charges. The other two were released without charges.

The Nova Scotia RCMP reminds residents that the only legal way to purchase cannabis in the province is at licensed locations.
