Yesterday, residents of Sioux Lookout were advised to boil their water after a contractor hit a watermain.
Public works staff worked well into the night to isolate and complete repairs, and samples are being taken and submitted for testing today.
They expect to have the advisory lifted by the weekend.
The contractor who hit the watermain is responsible for all costs related to the repairs, and there are no additional costs to the municipality.
