An alleged incident involving a City of Thunder Bay Transit bus driver and Indigenous passengers is under investigation.

The city of Thunder Bay and Thunder Bay Transit have opened investigations into the situation that occurred on August 5.

“We are committed to fostering a welcoming, safe and inclusive transit service for all employees, passengers and the general public,” said City Manager John Collin. “We thank those who’ve come forward to share their concerns. Be assured that this matter is being thoroughly investigated and addressed.”

This is the second incident on Thunder Bay transit since April.
