Quick action from Thunder Bay Fire Rescue helped save a woman trapped in the water.
Early Monday morning just after midnight fire rescue received calls for assistance at the Neebing-McIntyre Floodway.
When firefighters arrived they found a large crowd and were told a person had entered the river but did not return.
Firefighters wearing immersion suits and life jackets quickly entered the water and found the woman clinging to a bridge pilling.
She was brought to shore and was attended to by Paramedics.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue is reminding residents to be cautious when near waterways as shorelines can be unpredictable, and water conditions can change rapidly.
