There is no word yet on what led to a heavy police presence at Mapleton Park.

Mounties were called to the park in Moncton on Thursday afternoon.

Photos sent to our newsroom show RCMP vehicles near the Mapleton Rotary Pavilion.

At least one RCMP officer could be seen carrying a rifle.
