Two of the nine new tent sites are opening to accommodate the growing number of people who are sleeping rough.
HRM says Cogswell Park in Halifax and Geary Street in Dartmouth are now part of the six designated locations.
As designated locations, HRM says, those staying that these locations will be offered supports, portable toilets, waste collections and bottled water distributed.

HRM was under fire recently after they announced the nine new possible locations.
Premier Tim Houston says specifically their choice of Point Pleasant Park and the Commons as potential locations was “completely nuts.”
Site preparations for Cogswell Park and Geary Street will be completed today.
