A man from Middle East Pubnico is facing theft charges.
Barrington RCMP say tobacco was stolen last Monday at two local gas stations, and a suspect fled in a stolen Dodge Avenger.
Police did extensive patrols, the vehicle was found at a residence on Seal Point Road.
On Thursday, the 45-year-old suspect was seen walking in Newellton, and after a brief foot chase he was caught.
He’s due in court on Monday morning.
