Multiple fires are yet to be under control in Nipigon and Thunder Bay.

A wildfire just under three acres is located between Granite Lake and Elf Lake in Wabakimi Provincial Park.

The other, of the same size, is located five and a half kilometers northeast of the Geraldton Airport.

As of now, the wildland fire hazard is a mix of low and extreme across the Northwest Region, low in Thunder Bay and higher in the Greenstone sector.
