Residents in need of emergency care in the Guysborough area will not be able to visit their local emergency room on Sunday night.
Nova Scotia Health said the emergency department at Guysborough Memorial Hospital will be closed from 6 p.m. Sunday until 8 a.m. Monday.
The province’s health authority announced the temporary closure shortly before it took effect.
“Anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911. For non-urgent care, please call your family doctor/primary care provider,” said the news release.
If you are in need of general health advice and information, you can call 811 to speak with an experienced registered nurse 24/7.
