A stolen vehicle investigation has led to a number of charges against a 31-year-old woman.
The incident began last Thursday night in the area of James Street North after Thunder Bay Police received a report of a stolen vehicle.
A while later police received a 911 call saying a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle was located in a parking lot on Limbrick Street.
The suspect had been causing a disturbance and when she was asked to be quiet, she attempted to assault that person and drove the vehicle towards them, pinning them against another parked vehicle.
She then drove away but was chased by a witness.
She then stopped and assaulted them.
The suspect was arrested by police and transported to hospital.
She faces a long list of charges including vehicle theft, assault, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and mischief.
She continues to be held in custody pending a future court appearance.
