Three people have been arrested after their vehicle was stopped by the Nipigon OPP and the Anishinabek Police.

The incident took place on Saturday after the OPP were notified by the Greater Sudbury Police Service to be on the lookout for the suspects of an armed robbery.

The provincial police in Schreiber located the suspect vehicle on Highway 17 around 5 pm in the afternoon.

Officers followed from a distance as the Nipigon OPP and the Anishinabek Police sets up spike belts.

The vehicle stopped before the spike belts and the occupants were arrested.

Two are being held for a bail hearing, and the Sudbury Police have asked that the third person be released.
