N.B. motorists paying more for fuel this week

Increases at the fuel pump overnight.

Diesel and the price of furnace oil are up around 3.5 cents.

If you’re paying for regular self-serve, it increased by 1.6 cents a litre to a maximum of 169.6.

This is after weekly price adjustments by the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.68 to $1.73 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.73 and $1.77 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.70 per litre, diesel costs around $1.77 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.21 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
