You will see lots of treasure hunters around Thunder Bay over the next few days.
The city’s popular and twice-yearly Treasure Exchange Days will take place this weekend.
The idea gives residents a chance to de-clutter leave items they want to give away on the curbside.
It also gives would-be hunters the chance to add some decor or furniture to their own place.
Items have to be in good condition and labelled “free” when placed at the curb.
Treasure Exchange Days help divert waste from the landfill to be repurposed.
Items not taken by others must be removed from the curb by 7 p.m. on Sunday. The city’s Solid Waste and Recycling Services will not take the items.
People hunting for treasure can post photos or videos of the items they find, post to social media with the hashtag #TreasureDays, and be entered to win a prize.
