A 29 year old man faces new charges in connection with a motor vehicle collision last November 30th.

The Thunder Bay Police say the charge stems from a head on accident around 3:30 in the afternoon on Oliver Road near Highgate Road.

A sedan and a pickup truck were involved.

The driver of the sedan was initially charged with impaired driving, impaired driving causing bodily harm and dangerous operation of motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

One of the occupants of the pick-up truck has since died.

He’s been identified as 79 year old Russell Wanzuk.

The driver of the sedan now faces charges of impaired driving causing death, and dangerous driving causing death.
