Update: Police say motorcycle driver witness in Al Marrach murder case found

A witness in the murder of a 16-year-old boy at the Halifax Shopping Centre has been identified.

Police said in a release Tuesday afternoon, a driver of a motorcycle saw some of the incident and helped the boy.

“On that day, a driver of a motorcycle was witness to some of the incident and provided aid to the victim.”

Police asked the public for help finding the witness, but just a few hours later, said they found them.

Ahmad Al Marrach was stabbed in the parking lot of the mall, April 22.

He was taken to hospital where he later died from stab wounds.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner has ruled the death to be a homicide.

Four teenagers charged with second-degree murder in the case, remain in custody, and will be tried together.
