A Thunder Bay man has been charged with second-degree murder after an incident in Kaministiquia River Heritage Park.
Someone passing through the park found a person unconscious early on June 1.
The man was taken to the hospital and pronounced deceased. He was later identified as 34-year-old Francis Joseph Valle, also of Thunder Bay.
Major Crimes and Forensics helped in the investigation and police made an arrest on Sunday.
The 39-year-old appeared before a judge on Monday and will remain behind bars until his next court date.
Police did not say if they knew each other.
