Kent County to get new 60-bed nursing home

By Brad Perry Jun 10, 2024 | 3:00 PM

A new 60-bed nursing home has been announced for Kent County.

The facility will be constructed in the Champdoré community of Saint-Antoine.

Comfort Life Network will build and operate the new nursing home, the province announced Monday.

The non-profit organization already operates several nursing homes in New Brunswick.

“Seniors have built our province. They worked hard and made huge sacrifices to provide a better life for their children and grandchildren,” CEO Ronald LeBlanc said in a news release.

“It is now our turn to take care of them. We are looking forward to the day seniors can begin to move into their new home.”

The nursing home was part of a request for proposals issued in 2022 to build four 60-bed facilities around the province.

This newest nursing home is expected to open in 2026, according to the province.
