New poll shows PCs favoured to win next N.S. election

The governing PCs have a big lead in voter support for the next provincial election.

But the level of satisfaction in Tim Houston’s government is declining.

According to a new Narrative Research poll, 44 percent of residents are satisfied, that’s down from 52 percent in February.

The highest support comes from the mainland outside Halifax, and lowest in Cape Breton.

But one half of voters would vote PC if an election were held today, 23 percent would vote Liberal and 22 percent would choose the NDP.

Tim Houston is still the preferred choice for Premier at 34 percent followed by the NDP’s Claudia Chender at 16 percent and the Liberals’ Zach Churchill at 15 percent.
